Records
- The Records Bureau is responsible for the maintenance, dissemination and forwarding of departmental records.
- The Sidney Police Department submits all crime data to the Nebraska State Patrol in order to contribute to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports.
- The Sidney Police Department's records are stored electronically by means of a Records Management System (RMS) software program called Enterpol.
Enterpol
- The Enterpol RMS is not only utilized by the Sidney Police Department but also serves as the RMS for the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office (CCSO).
- The Cheyenne County Emergency Communications Center (CCECC) also utilizes Enterpol RMS as well as Enterpol Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD).
- The benefits of SPD, CCSO and CCECC all using the same interoperable RMS/CAD are limitless and allow seamless sharing of information, cooperation and coordination of resources.
