Boot Hill is Sidney’s original cemetery, existing since 1868. SIDNEY POLICE DEPARTMENT The Police Department is located at 1715 Illinois Street. The Sidney Public Library is located at 1112 12th Avenue. The Sidney High School is located at 1122 19th Avenue. A non profit shooting sports facility located outside in the Sidney Wilderness Area, one half mile north of Illinois Street on Greenwood Road. Sidney Warehousing is located at 3232 Road 101. Sioux Meadows Park is located on the Sioux Ordnance Depot that was created at the start of WWII to build munitions to go to the European and Pacific Fronts.

The Chamber promotes Cheyenne County on a daily basis. The Cheyenne County Chamber is located at 841 Illinois St. The Cheyenne County Community Center started operations in March of 1992. The facility was built with private donations from citizens of Cheyenne County along with grants from foundations.
