Sidney Public Schools
The Sidney Public School (SPS) District has seven attendance centers that educate approximately 1200 students in grades Pre-K through 12 and offers the following:
  • Before/after/summer school enrichment programs for students in grades K-8.
  • Alternative Education program for at-risk secondary students.
  • Dual credit secondary courses.
  • A wide variety of extra-cirricular programs
  • Strong student performance is evidenced by above average ACT, CAT and assessment scores.
  • Direct instruction in reading is offered through 8th grade.
  • The staff of approximately 104 teachers and 40 paraprofessionals ensures low student-teacher ratios.

Western Nebraska Community College
  • Western Nebraska Community College's (WNCC) Sidney campus had and enrollment of 620 students for the 2009 - 2010 school year.
  • The Sidney campus houses two computer classrooms, a Library Resource Center with an Education Success Lab and interactive video distance learning classrooms.
  • The Sidney campus is also home to the only public institution of Cosmetology in the State of Nebraska.
  • WNCC - Sidney is also home to an FAA approved Aviation Maintenance program that provides hands-on training.
